Through its actions, the International Tunnelling and Underground Space Association Committee on Education and Training (ITA-CET) foundation contributes to identifying current training requirements around the globe and providing education and training opportunities to student engineers and young professionals eager to make a career in the industry.

ITA-CET use donations generously provided by industry representatives to help fund and organize training sessions around the world at the request of both member nations and non-member nations. Main focus is to help countries that would otherwise not have the financial means to organize such events. ITA-CET also have the aim of providing scholarships for a limited number of students eager to follow one of the ITA-endorsed Master’s in the field of tunnelling and underground space.

In September and October 2017 the ITA-CET will arrange several training sessions:

  • Sustainability - LCA applied to tunnels (6th Sep. 2017, Buenos Aires, Argentina) - link to session
  • Sustainable underground solutions for transport (31st Oct. 2017, Dubai, United Arab Emirates) - link to session
